<title>Chemical Analysis of River Water Collected From Different Sites Of Kali Nadi </title>
<abstract>The quality of ground water depends on the ions which are dissolved in ground water. The major ions which are responsible to maintain the quality of ground water are carbonate (CO lessThan sub greaterThan 3 lessThan /sub greaterThan  lessThan sup greaterThan -- lessThan /sup greaterThan ) and bicarbonate (HCO lessThan sub greaterThan 3 lessThan /sub greaterThan  lessThan sup greaterThan -- lessThan /sup greaterThan ), Chloride (Cl lessThan sup greaterThan - lessThan /sup greaterThan ), Sulphate (SO lessThan sup greaterThan 4-- lessThan /sup greaterThan ), Nitrate (NO lessThan sub greaterThan 3 lessThan /sub greaterThan  lessThan sup greaterThan -- lessThan /sup greaterThan ), Phosphate (PO lessThan sub greaterThan 4 lessThan /sub greaterThan  lessThan sup greaterThan --- lessThan /sup greaterThan ), and Fluoride (F lessThan sup greaterThan - lessThan /sup greaterThan ).The above ions are present in the form of anions. These anions are in general maintain by the cat ions as Cu lessThan sup greaterThan ++ lessThan /sup greaterThan , Mg lessThan sup greaterThan ++ lessThan /sup greaterThan , Na lessThan sup greaterThan + lessThan /sup greaterThan , &amp; K lessThan sup greaterThan + lessThan /sup greaterThan . These cations are present in the form of hardness and salinity. 3 water samples are collected from different locations of kali nadi, District Meerut during summer (2008).The ionic concentrations are expressed in mg/ltr.</abstract>
