<title>A REVIEW : QUINAZOLIN-4-ONES AS ANTIFUNGAL AGENTS </title>
Quinazolinone derivatives are one of the most active classes of compounds possessing a wide spectrum of biological activity. Recently several scientists have been reported that introduction of various heterocyclic moieties at 2 and 3 position of quinazolinone nucleus modulate the antifungal activity. Various derivatives of quinazolinone have been synthesized and evaluated for their antifungal activity against lessThan i greaterThan Candida Albicans, Aspergilles Niger, Aspergillus Clavatus, Aspergillus Fumigatus, Aspergillus Parasiticus lessThan /i greaterThan at various concentrations. This article is sincere attempt to review chemistry and antifungal activity of quinazolinones for last 20 year (1991-2011).
