<title>ANTIMICROBIAL POTENCY OF PHYLLANTHUS NIRURI L. ON SOME CLINICAL ISOLATES </title>
The present work was designed to evaluate the antimicrobial activities of the ethanol extract of different parts of lessThan i greaterThan Phyllanthus niruri lessThan /i greaterThan (EPN) (Family: Euphorbiaceae). The antimicrobial activity of EPN was determined by the well diffusion method with various gram-positive, gram-negative microorganisms and pathogenic fungus. We have collected medicinally important medicinal plant lessThan i greaterThan Phyllanthus niruri lessThan /i greaterThan for antimicrobial and antifungal studies. The experiment carried out in the medicinal plant leaves, roots, stem, seed and callus. The results are discussed with the available literature. The results obtained in the present investigation clearly suggest that EPN can be a potential source of antimicrobial agent.
