10.22376/ijpbs.2019.10.1.p1-12 Volume 6 Issue 4 2015 (October - December) Bryoflora of Mamit District, Mizoram has been assessed for the first time. In the present investigation, a total of 65 taxa of Bryophytes distributed under 50 genera and 36 families have been recorded. Of these, the mosses are represented by 37 species of 28 genera and 17 families, while Liverworts are represented by 26 species of 20 genera and 18 families. Hornworts are represented by 2 species of 2 genus and 1 family. The present study reveals that Bryaceae, Dicranaceae, Frullaniaceae, Meteoriaceae and Polytrichaceae are dominant families in the study area.
