<title>Bioactivity of the extract from an endophytic fungi <i>nigrospora Oryza</i>isolated from <i>pterolobium Hexapetalum-</i>(roth.)</title>
lessThan i greaterThan Nigrospora oryzae lessThan /i greaterThan an endophytic fungus isolated from the leaf of a climber lessThan i greaterThan Pterolobium hexapetalum lessThan /i greaterThan (Roth.) Sant and Wagh. produced bioactive compound which are active against human pathogens. The organic extract (ethanol) of the endophyte  lessThan i greaterThan Nigrospora oryzae lessThan /i greaterThan was separated using HPLC and tested for biological activities. The ethanol extract was tested for antibacterial and anti fungal activity using agar well diffusion method. The extract of lessThan i greaterThan Nigrospora oryzae lessThan /i greaterThan was active against lessThan i greaterThan Streptococcus pneumoniae, Salmonella typhi lessThan /i greaterThan and lessThan i greaterThan Candida albicans lessThan /i greaterThan . The extract showed maximum zone of inhibition against lessThan i greaterThan Salmonella typhi lessThan /i greaterThan (19.2±0.2 mm) and lessThan i greaterThan C. albicans lessThan /i greaterThan (15.6± 0.41mm) at the volume 100µg /ml.
