<title><b>A comparative study of kinesio taping versus mcconnell taping along with exercises in the treatment of patellofemoral pain syndrome</b> </title>
Patellofemoral pain syndrome (PFPS) is a syndrome characterized by pain in front of the knee. The term "PFPS" is often used interchangeably with "anterior knee pain" or "runner‟s knee" and is one of the most common musculoskeletal disorders. Taping has shown relieving the pain. 30 patients with Patellofemoral Pain Syndrome of both the sexes were taken randomly, divided into Group A and Group B. Group A treated with Kinesio Taping, Group B treated with McConnell Taping, both the groups, supervised exercises were given as a part of the treatment after Taping. Both the groups received the treatment for 15 days. Patients were evaluated with visual Analog Scale, Kujala Scale for PFPS and with Goniometer on the day 1 lessThan sup greaterThan st lessThan /sup greaterThan ,7 lessThan sup greaterThan th lessThan /sup greaterThan , and the day 15 lessThan sup greaterThan th lessThan /sup greaterThan . The values are statistically analyzed to determine their effect in reducing the pain. In comparison with VAS, ROM, Kujala Scale, Group A shows significant improvement than Group B.
