Biotechnological Approaches for In-Vitro Propagation of a Valuable Medicinal Plant - Vitex Negundo L

Modern biotechnological and plant science methods, such as micropropagation techniques, have enormous potential for the production of best quality plant based medicinal products and aromatic compounds for human welfare. These also allow the large-scale propagation of disease-free plants, faster cloning and the survival of desirable genotypes in a very short period of time. To the majority of the world's population, medicinal plants are the most important source of life-saving natural drugs. lessThan i greaterThan Vitex negundo lessThan /i greaterThan L. is a aromatic, woody, flourishing, medicinal shrub or a small tree found in different countries of the world and is used to promote growth of hair, bronchitis, used in asthma, spleen enlargement, eye diseases, inflammations, leucoderma, painful teething and cure many other diseases in human welfare. This review shows the contributions of different micropropagation techniques, protocols and findings of researchers for the future development of novel, effective, safe and compound from lessThan i greaterThan V. negundo lessThan /i greaterThan . The established protocol can be applied for large-scale lessThan i greaterThan in-vitro lessThan /i greaterThan propagation of lessThan i greaterThan V. negundo lessThan /i greaterThan . We have specifically illustrated where the plant is accessible in India using a map in this review. The use of techniques such as cell and tissue culture would allow for rapid proliferation and survival of plant species, as well as the improvement of the quality and quantity of bioactive secondary metabolites produced by the plant. The pharmacological actions and therapeutic benefits of lessThan i greaterThan V. negundo lessThan /i greaterThan were reviewed and compiled in this article. It's worth noting that a single plant species is used in traditional and folk medicine to treat a wide range of health problems, some of which have been experimentally proven.
